Hardwood floor installation in the Conejo Valley.

Solid and engineered hardwood, installed over a properly prepared subfloor so it stays flat, quiet, and beautiful for decades. Licensed, family-owned, and free in-home estimates.

Why hardwood

Nothing else feels quite like real wood.

Hardwood is the floor people choose when they want it to last. It warms up a room, adds value to the home, and can be refinished instead of replaced.

01

Built to last

A well-installed hardwood floor can outlast the home’s other finishes many times over.

02

Refinish, don’t replace

When it wears, it can be sanded and refinished — even in a new color — instead of torn out.

03

Adds real value

Real wood is one of the features buyers look for, and it holds its appeal through changing trends.

04

Warmth and character

Natural grain, wide planks, and stains from pale white oak to deep walnut — no two boards alike.

Solid or engineered

The right hardwood for your home.

Both are real wood on top. The difference is what’s underneath — and that decides where each one works best.

Solid hardwood

One piece of wood, top to bottom

Installed over a wood subfloor. Can be sanded and refinished many times over its life. A classic choice for living areas and upstairs rooms.

Engineered hardwood

Real wood over a stable core

A real hardwood top layer bonded to a layered core that resists movement from humidity and temperature. Can go over concrete slab as well as wood subfloors.

Slab or wood subfloor?

It decides a lot

Many Conejo Valley homes sit on a concrete slab, where engineered is usually the practical choice. We check your subfloor at the estimate and recommend what fits.

How it works

What to expect, start to finish.

Wood is a natural material that moves with the seasons. The prep and installation method are what keep it from cupping, gapping, or squeaking down the road.

  1. Free in-home estimate

We measure, check your subfloor, and walk through species, plank width, and finish. You get a detailed written estimate before any work starts.

  2. Removal and prep

Almost every job starts here. We remove the old flooring, then flatten and repair the subfloor so the new floor goes down right. Any leveling is itemized in your estimate up front.

  3. Moisture check

We check moisture in the subfloor and follow the manufacturer’s requirements for acclimating the wood before it goes down.

  4. Installation

Installed the right way for your subfloor and the product you choose, with proper expansion space at the walls.

  5. Finishing details

Transitions, stair nosing, baseboard, and quarter round, so it looks finished, not just installed.

  6. Cleanup and walkthrough

We clean up, walk the floor with you, and make sure you’re happy before we call it done.

Pricing

How much does hardwood installation cost?

Every floor is different, so we don’t quote one-size-fits-all pricing. Your cost depends on the wood you choose — and most of all on what’s there now and how much prep the subfloor needs.

We’ll measure in person and give you an exact, itemized estimate, so you see where every dollar goes — no surprises halfway through the job.

FAQ

Common questions about hardwood.

Should I choose solid or engineered hardwood?

It mostly comes down to your subfloor. Solid hardwood needs a wood subfloor. Engineered hardwood is more stable and can also go over concrete slab, which is common in the Conejo Valley. We’ll check your subfloor and recommend the right fit.

Can hardwood go over a concrete slab?

Engineered hardwood can, with the right moisture protection. Solid hardwood generally isn’t recommended directly over slab.

Can I put hardwood in a kitchen or bathroom?

Kitchens, yes — with some care around sinks and dishwashers. For full bathrooms and laundry rooms, we usually recommend tile or waterproof luxury vinyl instead.

How long does hardwood installation take?

It depends mostly on what’s there now, how much prep the subfloor needs, and the manufacturer’s acclimation requirements. We’ll give you a realistic timeline at your estimate, after we’ve seen the floor.

Do you supply the flooring, or can I buy my own?

Either works. We can source the flooring for you, or install flooring you’ve already purchased. Either way, we’ll make sure it’s right for your space before anything goes down.

Do you refinish existing hardwood?

Yes. If your floors are worn but solid, sanding and refinishing can bring them back for far less than replacing them. See our refinishing page.
