Why homeowners choose LVP

The look of hardwood, without the worry.

Luxury vinyl plank is one of the most requested floors in the Conejo Valley — and for good reason. It handles kids, pets, spills, and sunny rooms better than almost anything else.

01

Waterproof planks

Kitchens, laundry rooms, bathrooms, and busy family spaces. Spills wipe up instead of soaking in.

02

Built for everyday wear

A protective wear layer resists scratches and scuffs from furniture, pets, and foot traffic.

03

Realistic wood looks

Real grain texture and long, wide planks, in everything from light white oak to warm walnut tones.

04

Comfortable and quiet

Warmer and softer underfoot than tile, and the right underlayment keeps footsteps quiet.

Which LVP is right for you

Not all vinyl plank is the same.

We’ll walk through the options at your estimate and help you pick what fits your home. Here’s the short version.

Rigid core (SPC)

Stone-plastic composite core

Dense and stable. Holds up well to temperature swings and sunny rooms, and resists dents from furniture. A strong fit for most homes.

WPC

Wood-plastic composite core

A little thicker and softer, so it feels warmer and quieter underfoot. A comfortable choice for bedrooms and living areas.

Glue-down LVP

Thin planks bonded to the subfloor

Very stable with no floating movement. Often used in condos, large open areas, and on stairs.

How it works

What to expect, start to finish.

The prep is what separates a floor that lasts from one that clicks, gaps, or peaks a year later. We don’t skip it.

  1. Free in-home estimate

We measure, check your subfloor, and talk through products and layout. You get a detailed written estimate before any work starts.

  2. Removal and prep

Almost every job starts here. We remove the old flooring, then flatten and repair the subfloor so the new floor goes down right. Any leveling is itemized in your estimate up front.

  3. Installation

The right underlayment and moisture protection, clean cuts at door frames, and proper expansion gaps so the floor can move with the seasons.

  4. Finishing details

Transitions, stair nosing, baseboard, and quarter round — so it looks finished, not just installed.

  5. Cleanup and walkthrough

We clean up, walk the floor with you, and make sure you’re happy before we call it done.

Pricing

How much does LVP installation cost?

Every floor is different, so we don’t quote one-size-fits-all pricing. Your cost depends on the floor you choose — and most of all on what’s there now and how much prep the subfloor needs.

We’ll measure in person and give you an exact, itemized estimate, so you see where every dollar goes — no surprises halfway through the job.

What affects your price

  • The product you choose — wear layer, thickness, and plank size

  • Removing and hauling away the old floor
  • Stairs and landings
  • Baseboard, quarter round, and transitions
  • Room layout — lots of angles and doorways take more time
FAQ

Common questions about LVP.

How long does LVP installation take?

It depends mostly on what’s there now and how much prep the subfloor needs. Once the old floor is out and the subfloor is ready, the install itself moves quickly. We’ll give you a realistic timeline at your estimate, after we’ve seen the floor.

Can LVP go over my existing floor?

Occasionally, but in most homes the old floor comes out. Removing it lets us check and fix the subfloor underneath, which is what keeps a new floor flat, quiet, and gap-free for years. We’ll tell you at the estimate what your floor needs.

Is LVP really waterproof?

The planks themselves are. Water can still find its way underneath at the edges if a leak sits for a while, so in kitchens, baths, and laundry rooms we pay extra attention to underlayment, perimeter gaps, and transitions.

Is LVP a good choice with pets?

It’s one of the best. It’s waterproof, scratch-resistant, and quieter than tile. Products with a thicker wear layer hold up best to claws.

Can you install LVP on stairs?

Yes. We install matching stair nosing or treads so your stairs flow with the rest of the floor.

Do you supply the flooring, or can I buy my own?

Either works. We can source the flooring for you, or install flooring you’ve already purchased. Either way, we’ll make sure it’s right for your space before anything goes down.
